Do you feel stuck?

I don’t mean like Winnie the Pooh when he gets greedy for more “hunny” – I mean in your everyday, mundane, routine life.

If I’m honest with myself, I feel this way a lot or at least more than I should.

What are some things we can do to get out of the stuck mode?

  1. Look around. One thing we can do is pause, look around, and push through the “feelings” and see what God has given you. Nothing is perfect. I guarantee if you look around you’ll see something to be thankful for.
  2. Don’t hibernate. When we feel desperate and stuck the easiest option is to hibernate from the outside world. Don’t. Don’t skip out on your Bible study with friends, don’t skip your exercise routine, don’t sleep all day. Instead, get out and breathe. If you still have breath, God is not finished with you.
  3. Don’t give up. There’s so much more I could write, but I want to simply say don’t give up! Giving up is too easy. There’s something wonderful just around the corner. Hold fast. Remember the promises God has spoken to you. Your life is His, not your own. Trust Him and watch what happens!

We will all have stuck feelings and other events in life that make us feel hopeless and stuck. Remember this, you have to stop thinking that you’ll be stuck in your current situation forever. Life will change. Your situation will change. You’ll grow and move on and be better for what you’ve gone through.
